
NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports the Seahawks have reached agreement on a three-year, $33 million contract extension for their longtime cornerback Brandon Browner.
The extension will pay Browner $17.5 million in 2017, $18.25 million in 2018, $19.5 m in 2019, $20.75 m in 2020 and $21.5 in 2021.
Browner will earn $1.546 million in total salary in the extension.
The new deal is expected to be announced this week.
The Seahawks signed Browner to a three year contract extension last year worth $21 million in base salary, $22.5 M in signing bonus and a $15.25 m roster bonus.
The team signed Browne to the deal after the 2017 season.
Browner is a three time Pro Bowler and one of the most decorated cornerbacks in NFL history.
He was a five-time Pro Boweler with the Cardinals, Bears and Jets.
He had a career year in 2017 with 10 interceptions and a career-high 14 pass breakups.
Browne was drafted No. 1 overall by the Bears in 2005.
He spent five seasons with Chicago, the first five of which were with the Bears before being released in 2008.
Browne was signed by the Cowboys in 2008 as an undrafted free agent.
He played four seasons in Dallas and has recorded 11 career interceptions.
Brown’s best season came in 2014, when he had seven interceptions and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013.
