The Pet Store in St. Peters, near the Pet Project in Minneapolis, has closed.
The Pet Project, which sells pet supplies to the public, is planning to reopen its old store in the neighborhood.
The St. Peter Pet Project said it plans to reopen the Pet Market in late 2019.
Pet Store owner Peter Rabbit has lived in the area for decades.
He said he’s disappointed in the Pet Store’s decision.
He’s been a tenant since it opened in 1998, and now, the Pet project has gone into bankruptcy, he said.
Rabbit said he hoped to reopen and continue to sell supplies to Pet Project members and local residents.
The neighborhood has seen a resurgence of interest in pets, he added.
