Secret Service agent Pete D’Anoia says he’s been on his way to a meeting with the president of Romania in Washington DC for months, but he’s never seen him there.
D’Angelo says he just knows he needs to make the trip if he wants to get to the White House in the next few days.
“I’ve been waiting all my life for him to show up,” D’Antoia said.
“I’m not a huge fan of the White Houses security detail, but I’m going to give him a chance.”
D’Antonio said he plans to meet the president in the Oval Office for a briefing on the threat from the Islamic State group.
He says he’ll tell him that his son, a Navy SEAL, was killed in the fight against the Islamic group in Mosul, Iraq, and that he and his wife were in Mosul for four days during the campaign.
“I have a little son,” he said.
He adds that he hopes to get a picture with the family.
“We are very much in their hearts.”
Dampier is hoping to get his son and the president to Washington to meet with him and his family.
“They’re very much looking forward to it,” he told ABC News.
“The Secret Service was very helpful.
They’re very helpful.”
